About National Trust of Australia (Queensland)National Trust of Australia (Queensland) [NTAQ]) is membership-based, environmental charity which offers people the opportunity to feel connected to significant places, collections, and stories.  NTAQ manages a diverse portfolio of heritage which includes one of the Gold Coast’s most popular tourist destinations, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. As our organisation works to deliver new vibrant and engaging guest experiences, we are seeking an experienced and engaging Operations Manager to join us in our pre-opening phase for our new attraction – Astra Lumina.  Astra Lumina is an enchanting night walk experience that seamlessly blends art, nature, and technology to inspire and captivate guests. Our Operations Manager will be the driving force behind the smooth and efficient running of Astra Lumina, ensuring that every guest leaves with a memorable and positive experience. About the RoleAs our energetic Operations Manager, you will foster genuine connections by building and maintaining authentic relationships with team members, guests, community and travel partners, serving as a brand ambassador for our unique, immersive experience.  In this highly operational role, you will oversee the daily operations of Astra Lumina, including show and park operations that encompass visitor services, retail, food and beverage and photography.As a guest-focused leader, you will maintain a guest-first approach, ensuring all guests have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience and take a proactive approach to address and resolve any technical or guest issues promptly and effectively.  Given the technical nature of the attraction, you will also ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, conduct regular risk assessments, audits and attraction walks to ensure the safety and upkeep of facilities, ensuring all equipment is operational and safe.As the key operational lead, you will drive the commercial performance of the Astra Lumina attraction through sound management of the operational budget to drive financial performance.  In this role you are responsible for all guest touchpoints during Astra Lumina Operational hours,  with oversight of key retail and food and beverage operations.  You will also work closely with our external partner to ensure complying with the attraction operational and brand guidelines to ensure optimal guest experiences.As an innovative leader, you will foster creative problem-solving, encouraging new ideas and solutions to operational challenges.
